Q. I think my child would benefit from some therapy sessions. What now?
Once you've recognised a need for therapy, the next step is choosing the right therapist for your child. Keep your child involved in this process as they are more likely to engage with a therapist they have chosen.
If you do decide to avail of my services the process is as follows-
Q. What is available during the Covid-19 pandemic?
I acknowledge that this is a particularly uncertain time for everyone with lots of services being affected. In response to Covid-19, I am able to offer Tele-Play Therapy. This is Play Therapy completed via video-call using Zoom. I can offer Zoom sessions or Covid safe face to face sessions.
Q. Who are your services suitable for?
Referrals can be made for a variety of reasons which include but are not limited to
Q. How much does it cost?
The Assessment Interviews cost £100. I meet with you, then your child to find more about the issues concerning you. You and I meet again to discuss how many sessions your child is likely to need and to offer you some immediate suggestions and resources to support you before we begin work.
I have kept a very simple price-plan of £40 per therapy session.
In the event that you require an additional meeting with me, beyond what is offered above, these will be charged at £20 per 30 minutes.
Q. How many sessions will my child need?
I recommends a minimum of 12-15 sessions to have a significant impact. I recommend contracting for 12 sessions and reviewing at week 6 to ensure that this is the right approach for your child.
Sessions can be terminated at any stage, but it is highly recommended that a planned ending occur to bring the therapy safely to a close.
